Quotation for providing Safaiwala/ Sweeper for the
government building of Positional Astronomy Centre at block-AQ, sector –V
The service of two Safaiwala/ Sweeper is required
for sweeping and cleaning of the office building and its premises at sector-V,
1. That the safaiwala/sweeper will perform duty 5 days a week (i.e. from
Monday to Friday) except gazetted holidays from 9.30
A.M. to 6 P.M. which is the normal office hours.
2. Sweeping/cleaning of the
office building includes sweeping/cleaning of the rooms, corridors, toilets,
bathrooms, tables, chairs, racks, books in the library, outside campus,
staircases etc. In addition some additional works like carrying office files
etc. from one table to another table may have to be performed in case of
urgency.
3. That the Safaiwala/Sweeper persons will be of well disciplined in nature,
must always be on duty and should posses a good moral character.

That the Safaiwala/Sweeper would receive all types of
benefits viz. salary, day-off, leave etc. from the agency.
5. That the photo-identity
cards (mentioning their name, date of birth/age, residential address,
identification mark etc.) of the persons on duty need to be submitted to the
office authority.
6. That the mode of payment
would be on monthly basis by cheque/draft which would
be prepared after receiving the requisite bills of the previous month for which
duty has been completed. No advance payment is admissible.
7. That the absent of duty
without making any alternative arrangement or irregular attendance on the part
of the appointed personels would be noted seriously
by the office and action would be taken as fit as it may appear.
8. That the contract would
remain valid for one year and likely to be extended for the next year on
request basis subject to satisfactory performance.
9. That the contract of
appointment Safaiwala/Sweeper from your agency would
be terminated in case of unsatisfactory performance on duty, perpetual irregulities, integrity of the persons on duty becomes
questionable etc. are noticed by the administration.
Last date of submission of quotation is 23 July 2010.
Sealed quotation for the above subject may be
submitted addressed to ‘The Director, Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata’ superscripted with “Quotation for engagement for Safaiwala/Sweeper”. In this connection, a visit may be made
to the building site at
