Sub: Invitation of quotations for providing security guards for the government building of Positional Astronomy Centre at Block-AQ/8, Sector-V, Salt lake,    Kolkata-700091

 

This office would require the service of a few security personnel in order to look after/guard the office building at Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata. It is therefore requested to submit sealed quotation for appointing i) Four (4) unarmed and ii) One (1) armed guards at the earliest subject to following terms and conditions:

    1. That the security persons will be of well disciplined in nature, must always be on duty in uniform and possess a good moral character. They would more or less be conversant in communicating with all walks of life irrespective of language/region they belong.

    2. That the physique of the personnel must be well built having a standard height and possessing sound health.

    3. That the security personnel would receive all types of benefits viz. salary, fixing of duty hours, day-off, leave etc. from the security agency.

    4. That this office will no way remain responsible in the event of any untoward incident involving the security personnel on duty and with outsiders whatsoever of nature.

    5. That the security persons would take care/guard of the office building & its premises round the clock and there should not be any break in duty due to miscommunication among them or with the authority of the agency.

    6. That the security personnel will have their binding to guard the building without showing any reason for not reporting for duty to sudden stoppage in transport/trains or declaration of a bandh.

    7. That the security persons will not hesitate to take the advice/directive/instruction of the office administration at the time facing situation, beyond their knowledge.

    8. That the photo-identity cards (mentioning their name, date of birth/age, residential address, identification mark etc.) of the persons on duty need to be submitted to the office authority. In addition, a panel of names with full ID of stand-by persons may be submitted in advance. In case of absent of regular/already recorded security persons, these stand-by persons may be placed on duty under intimation to this office.

    9. That the mode of payment would be on monthly basis by cheque which would be prepared after receiving the requisite bills of the previous month for which duty has been completed. No advance payment is admissible.

    10. That absent of duty without any alternative arrangement or irregular attendance on the part of the security persons would be noted seriously by the office and action would be taken as fit may appear.

    11. That the security personnel will open and close the locks of the rooms on all working days as per the directive of the administration. The bunch of keys for the rooms, gates etc. of the building would be kept under the safe custody of the security person on duty and would be made available for use by the administration, wherever found essential.

    12. That the contract will remain valid for one year and likely to be extended for the next year on request basis subject to satisfactory performance.

    13. That the security persons on duty should keep a register where ingress and egress of outside people would be kept in record & subsequently counter signed by the competent officer at the end of  the day.

    14. That the security passes may be provided by office, if found essential, and may be issued to visitors while entering the office building.

    15. That necessary documents of the agency in support of providing services in Govt. (both Central & State and Private) offices and Registration of the Govt. as well, may be enclosed with the quotation.

    16. That the contract of appointing security persons from your agency would stand terminated in case of unsatisfactory performance of duty, perpetual irregularities, integrity of the persons on duty becomes questionable etc. are noticed by the administration.

                     If above mentioned terms & conditions are acceptable then it is requested to submit quotation in sealed enclosure for the above subject by 16.03.2011. In this connection, a visit may also be made to the building site at Salt Lake prior to submitting the quotation.
