The Moon

The Moon passes about 5½º south of Venus in the early hours of 2nd, about 3º south of Mercury in the early hours of 2nd, 5º south of Mars on 2nd, about 3º south of Jupiter in the early hours of 10th, about 1º north of Neptune on 13th, 4º north of Uranus on 15th and 4½º south of Saturn in the early hours of 28th.
The Earth
The Earth is at the Autumnal Equinox on 22nd.
The Planets
The Visibility of Planets :
Mercury: The planet can be seen in the evening low in the western sky after sunset. It sets about 1½ hours to 1 hour after sunset upto third quarter of the month. Thereafter it is too near the Sun to be visible from the third quarter of the month, being in inferior conjunction in the beginning of next month. The planet is in Aphelion or farthest from the sun on 3rd. It is in Greatest Eastern Elongation of about 27º on 11th. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth on 24th.
Venus: It is a brilliant object, can be seen in the evening low in western sky after sunset. It sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours after sunset throughout the month.
Mars: The planet can be seen in the evening after sunset. It sets about 1½ hours to 1 hour after sunset throughout the month.
Jupiter: The planet can be seen in the evening after sunset throughout the month and remains visible till it sets around local midnight. It sets about 1 hour after local midnight to around local midnight time upto third quarter of the month and around local midnight time to ½ hour before it during the last quarter of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Direct with respect to the Earth on 8th.
Saturn: The planet remains too near the Sun to be visible upto 18th day of the month, being in Conjunction with the Sun on 4th. Thereafter it is seen in the eastern sky, rises about 1 hour to 1½ hours before sunrise for the remaining days of the month and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight.
Uranus: The planet can be seen in the evening in the eastern sky after sunset and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight. It rises about 1 hour after sunset to around sunset time during first half of the month. Thereafter it rises around sunset time to about 1 hour before it during remaining days of the month, being in Opposition with the Sun on 13th.
Neptune: The planet can be seen in the evening in the eastern sky and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight. It sets about 1 hour to 2 hours before sunrise upto second quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.
Conjunction of Planets :
Mercury passes about 3½º south of Venus on 11th.
Venus passes about ½º north Mars on 12th.
Mercury passes about 3½º south of Mars on 13th.
Venus passes 3º north of the Star Spica (Chitra) on 18th.
Mercury passes about 4º south of Mars on 19th.
Mars passes 3º north of Spica (Chitra) on 24th.
