The Moon passes about 4½º north of Neptune on 1st, 6½º north of Uranus after midnight of 4th and about 7º north of Jupiter on 4th, about 4º south of Mercury on 13th, 6º south of Venus on 15th, about 6º south of Mars on 16th, about 8º south of Saturn on 17th, about 4½º north of Neptune on 28th, 6½º north of Uranus and 7º north of Jupiter on 31st.
The Earth
The Earth approaches Aphelion position in its orbit or reaches farthest from the Sun on 6th.
Eclipse
Total Eclipse of the Sun : The phenomenon will occur on 11th -12th July, 2010. The eclipse begins at 22-40 I.S.T. and ends at 03-27 I.S.T. The eclipse is not visible in India.

:Mercury
:The planet is too near the Sun to be visible upto 7th of the month. Thereafter it is seen in the western sky after sunset and sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours after sunset for the remaining days of the month.Venus
: It is a brilliant object visible in the evening in the western sky after sunset. It sets about 2½ hours after sunset throughout the month.Mars
: The planet can be seen in the evening in the western sky after sunset throughout the month. It sets about 2 hours to 2½ hours before local midnight upto third quarter of the month, and about 2½ hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.Jupiter
:The planet rises in the eastern sky before local midnight throughout the month and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight. It rises about 1 hour to 2 hours before local midnight upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth on 23rd.Saturn
:The planet is visible in the evening towards the western sky throughout the month. It sets about 1 hour to 1½ hours before local midnight during first quarter of the month, about 1½ hours to 2 hours before it upto third quarter of the month and about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month.Uranus
:The planet can be seen in the eastern sky before local midnight and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight throughout the month. It rises about 1 hour to 2 hours before it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 3 hours before it for the remaining days of the month. The motion of the planet becomes Retrograde with respect to the Earth on 5th.Neptune
:The planet rises in the evening after sunset and remains visible till the beginning of morning twilight throughout the month. It rises about 3 hours to 2½ hours after sunset upto first quarter of the month, about 2½ hours to 2 hours after it upto second quarter of the month, about 2 hours to 1½ hours after it upto third quarter of the month and about 1½ hours to 1 hour after it for the remaining days of the month.Conjunction of Planets :
Mercury passes about 5º south of Pollux (Punarvasu) on 7th.
Venus passes about 1º north of Regulus (Magha) on 10th.
Mercury passes about ½º south of Reguls (Magha) on 28th.
